Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 October 2026. These terms explain how to use The Hidden Door website. They do not create a reservation, a price, or a set of unpublished visit rules.
Introduction
The Hidden Door publishes pages about escape room experiences, puzzle concepts, group questions, and the difference between an inquiry and a confirmed visit. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website. They are written to match the pages that are actually online.
The published contact address is Shop 2A, 546 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042, Australia. The published phone is +61 2 9553 2111 and the published email is [email protected]. A registered company name, a company number, and a governing-law clause are not published. If a law requires a particular disclosure before a paid booking can be sold, that disclosure has to be added by the owner before any paid flow exists. This website does not sell visits.
Acceptance of Terms
By browsing the pages, you can read the explanations, follow the links, and use the on-page inquiry form for what it actually does: check fields and, if you ask, copy notes. You are not asked to tick a box to create an account, and you are not asked to pay.
If you do not accept these terms, you should leave the site. Using the inquiry buttons does not mean you have booked an experience, agreed to a cancellation fee, or accepted a price. No fee is stated because no price is stated.
Website Purpose
The purpose of the website is to introduce The Hidden Door as an independent escape room business in general terms. Visitors can explore theme categories, read how a puzzle visit is usually approached, and see how to phrase a group question. The purpose is not to operate an online game, a retail shop, a cinema, a casino, or a virtual-reality center.
Nothing on the site is an offer that becomes a contract when you submit a form. The pages are information. A later conversation, once a real contact method exists, would be a separate step. These terms do not set the commercial conditions of that later step.
Escape Room Information
Escape Rooms and Experiences describe categories such as mystery, detective adventure, adventure-themed rooms, puzzle challenges, and story-driven visits. Those labels help a reader understand the kind of activity. They are not a catalogue of rooms with confirmed names, schedules, difficulty ratings, durations, or player counts.
Descriptions talk about searching, observation, clues, and teamwork. They avoid spoilers for a specific plot because no specific plot is being sold on the page. They also avoid promises that a group will finish, that a room is frightening, or that anyone will be prevented from leaving a space. An escape room, as this site uses the phrase, is a collaborative puzzle activity in a themed setting.
Booking Inquiry vs Confirmed Booking
The Booking Inquiry page and the Contact page include a form. Required fields are checked in the browser. The submit button does not post your details to a mailbox or a booking engine. The page then states that nothing was transmitted and that no time was reserved. Copying the notes is optional and stays on your device.
A confirmed booking would require a clear acceptance from the operator, with the experience, timing, and any commercial conditions identified before you are asked to pay or to rely on the arrangement. None of that happens through this form. If you tell other people that a visit is booked because you pressed the button, that statement would not match these terms or the notice on the form.
Availability
The website does not display a calendar of open slots, a remaining capacity, or a statement that a concept is available on a particular day. A preferred date or time in the form is only a preference you wrote down. It does not reduce availability for anyone else, and it does not hold a place for you.
Availability has to be confirmed by phone on +61 2 9553 2111 or by email at [email protected]. This website cannot tell you whether a date is free. Pages that discuss group visits show how to ask, not that a private room or a celebration format is open.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you choose to type. Do not submit another person’s contact details unless you have a proper reason and the right to share them. Do not enter payment data, passwords, or identity documents. The form is not a secure intake desk, and the site has no need for those details.
You are also responsible for reading the result the page shows after you press the button. The notice says an email draft should open. A person at The Hidden Door has not read it until you send the email and they reply. The website does not store a copy.
Appropriate Website Use
Use the site to read, navigate, and prepare a genuine question about escape room experiences. Do not attempt to disrupt the pages, probe them for hidden databases, or present the escape-room photographs as pictures of Shop 2A. Do not mislabel the site as an official branch of another escape room brand.
The site does not provide instructions for dangerous activity, unlawful entry, or holding anyone against their will. Content about locks and keys is about puzzle props in an organized game setting. It is not guidance for interfering with real property outside that setting.
Experience Information
General statements about puzzles, atmosphere, and group decisions are explanatory. They are not a warranty that a future visit will feel a certain way, last a certain time, or suit every participant. Difficulty, languages, accessibility, supervision, and what to bring are not specified, because they have not been confirmed for publication.
Photographs show real escape-room spaces and puzzle props. They are not a photo gallery of The Hidden Door’s rooms, staff, or guests at Shop 2A, 546 King Street. Credits are on the About page. Relying on an image as a floor plan of the Newtown shop would be a misuse of the page.
Group Inquiries
Group Events describes team activities, private groups, friends and family gatherings, and celebration questions as categories of inquiry. The site does not promise exclusive use, a host, catering, a private room, a minimum or maximum headcount, or a corporate program. A celebration inquiry is a question, not a birthday package with included items.
If you are asking on behalf of a company, a school, or a family, say so in your own notes. The form opens an email draft and does not store it. No group rate is offered on the site, and no discount is described.
Intellectual Property
The text, layout, and logo on this website are provided for visitors to read and view in a browser. Escape-room photographs are used under the licenses and credits on the About page. You may not copy the pages into another commercial site, strip those credits, or present the logo as your own business. Brief quotations for a genuine discussion, with credit, are a different matter from republishing the site.
The name The Hidden Door is used as the name of this website. These terms do not claim a trademark registration that has not been stated by the owner. They also do not claim rights in generic words such as “escape room” or in puzzle ideas that belong to ordinary language. Third-party names are not used as if this site were affiliated with them.
External Links
Internal links move between Home, Escape Rooms, Experiences, How It Works, Group Events, About, FAQ, Booking Inquiry, Contact, and the legal pages. Those links are part of the site. The pages do not currently send you to a payment processor, a map, or a social network.
If an external link is added later, The Hidden Door would not control that destination. A link is not an endorsement of a price, a review score, or a booking tool unless the page says so in words that match the tool’s real behavior. Decorative buttons that only pretend to book are not used.
Accuracy
The site aims to be accurate about its own limits. Theme descriptions are general. They can be updated when the operator confirms real room information. Until then, a sentence that sounds specific should be read together with the notices that concepts are not a live inventory.
If something on a page conflicts with the form notice, the stricter and more specific statement controls. For example, a heading that says “Request booking information” is limited by the paragraph that says an email draft is not a reservation. Prices are absent. The street address, phone, and email on the Contact page are published. If you think you saw a price, a rating, or opening hours, treat that as an error. Those facts are not published.
Website Changes
Pages, navigation, and these terms may be updated when the business information changes. A new contact method, a real booking flow, or a published price would be a material change and should be explained before a visitor is asked to pay or to rely on a hold. The date on this page marks the current text.
The site may also correct wording, replace a photograph, or remove a section that no longer fits. An earlier version is not kept as a public archive here. Changes do not revive an inquiry that was never transmitted.
Safety and Participation Information
The website does not publish arrival instructions, briefing steps, age limits, health restrictions, or venue safety procedures. Those topics matter for a real visit, and they should be confirmed by the operator before anyone attends. Leaving them off the page is safer than inventing a rule that the venue does not use.
Nothing here asks you to accept physical confinement, a hazardous stunt, or a waiver. If a future visit requires a participation condition, that condition has to be presented by the operator in time for you to decide, not buried in a general website paragraph written before the condition existed. The puzzle activity described here is collaborative and non-violent. It is not an invitation to attempt an unsupervised challenge elsewhere.
Limitations of Liability
The website is provided as informational pages. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for decisions you make solely because you read a theme description, mistook an escape-room photograph for Shop 2A, or treated an unsent form as a booking. The site does not guarantee that a concept will be offered, that a date will be free, or that a group will solve a puzzle.
Some liability cannot be excluded, including liability that a consumer protection law keeps in place. These terms do not try to remove rights that apply automatically, and they do not choose a court or a country for you. They also do not limit liability for a paid ticket that this website does not sell. If a separate booking contract is formed later, its own terms — once actually presented — would govern that contract, within the limits of applicable law.
Updates
The owner should update these terms when the website starts to do something new, especially if it begins to take messages, hold times, or accept payment. A cancellation policy, a refund policy, and a participation waiver are not included, because those rules have not been confirmed. They should not be implied from silence.
Checking the date at the top is the practical way to see whether you are reading this version. The Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy are separate documents and should be read with these terms when you care about local storage or the inquiry form.
Contact
Legal notices cannot be delivered through an address, phone number, or email that the site does not publish. The Contact page explains that gap. The inquiry form is not a method of service and does not start a response-time clock.
Until the operator publishes a verified contact, questions about these terms can be read against the pages themselves. A request for a formal notice address is one of the items the owner needs to supply before the site is used to arrange paid visits.
